If you missed “The Great Bear Stakeout” narrated by Billy Connelly on the BBC a few years ago, I urge you watch it. The series followed the Grizzly Bears over an entire year in Katmai, Alaska. This is Parsnip, a Mother Bear who was one of the Bears being documented. I fell in love when I watched. I contacted the BBC who put me in touch with Brad Josephs, one of the talented guides they worked with whilst filming. As well as being a guide for Natural Habitats, he is also a keen photographer and has captured some amazing shots whilst on his travels. Brad has been very kind to let me work with him, painting some of these wonderful images.
Here we have Parsnip, she has the smell of Salmon in her nostrils as it carries in the air, the event of the year is here, the Salmon run.
As with my Wolf work, any sales made from my bear series a 10% donation is made to Bear Trek, a charity committed to education and conservation, thank you.
